A space for every student, piece and project.

A Learning Space is a folder. Inside it live the notes, the recordings, the stems, the scores and the practice log for that one student, piece or project. Nothing is buried in someone else’s database.

Audio to stems to notes

Drop in a song. Get the parts, the key and the notes.

Soundara splits the track into six stems, finds tempo, key and chords, and writes notation for each part. Slow the passage down, drop it an octave, loop four bars. The notes follow.

  • Volume, pan, mute, solo and a loop region per stem
  • Tempo change and pitch shift in semitones, without the chipmunk effect
  • Solo piano, guitar, flute and voice recordings are transcribed directly, no stem split needed. MIDI import too.

Record it, then read it

Record the lesson with camera and mic. Soundara turns it into a transcript. Delia drafts an editable lesson summary and a one-page practice handout your student can take home as PDF.

A timer per space and a session log. Six weeks later you can see exactly what was practiced, for how long, and what you said about it.

Tuner

A reference pitch you can shift when the piano in the room says otherwise.

Play into the microphone and watch the notes appear as a piano roll. When a take is worth keeping, turn it into a score in one step.

Posture camera

A webcam skeleton overlay with posture hints for piano, guitar, violin, cello and voice. It runs on the machine. Nothing is uploaded.

Delia · the assistant

An assistant that has context. Bring your own model.

Delia knows the files in the space. Ask her to rewrite a note, fix a score or summarize a lesson. She runs on your machine. If you prefer, bring your own model from OpenAI, Anthropic or another provider with your own key.

Your vault is a folder.
Not our database.

Markdown, audio, MIDI, MusicXML, JSON. All of it sits in a folder you choose, on a disk you own. Back it up how you like. Open it in any editor. If Soundara vanished tomorrow, your work would still open.

What does it cost?

Free during early access. Whatever comes later, your data stays plain files on your own machine, and nothing you’ve made gets locked in.

Where does my data live?

In a normal folder you pick. Notes, audio and scores are ordinary files. No account, no database. You can open every file without Soundara.

Does the AI send my lessons to the cloud?

Not by default. Delia runs on your machine and works offline. If you want a cloud model, you can add your own key. Your recordings, notes and scores stay on your computer either way.

What do I need to run it?

A Windows, Mac or Linux computer. 8 GB of RAM is recommended. No GPU needed. Internet only once, to download the AI model.

Do I need to know Obsidian or Notion?

Not at all. If you already use them, you’ll feel at home right away. Spaces are folders, notes are Markdown, [[wiki links]] and backlinks work the way you expect. If you don’t, ignore all of that and just record a lesson, split a song and print a handout.

Which languages does the interface speak?

English and German first, with more planned. Some screenshots on this page are from a German build. A graph view of linked notes, encrypted key storage, auto-update and code signing are on the way as well.
